Small-group guided tour through the forrest - 3 minutes from Hella on the Ring Road
Our herd of pure-bred Icelanders is small on purpose. Every horse knows every guide, every trail. We match you by temperament and experience so you spend the ride looking at the landscape - not managing the animal.
Jakobína has ridden since she could walk. Her family has been breeding Icelandic horses in Sandhólaferja the family farm since the middle of the last century - recognised for their contributions as part of the first wave of Icelandic horse breeders who introduced the breed to the rest of Europe.
She runs Horses of Hella as a small, personal operation - every guest meets her, every ride is planned around the horse's temperament and the rider's comfort. She is a mother of five boys and a life long horse enthusiast.
From a thirty-minute feeding session to a two-hour forest ride. Helmet and boots included on every riding activity.
Pick a tour, a date, a time, and tell us who's riding. We confirm within the day.
